Would welcome full dialogue with India: Pakistan
India is signalling that it is ready to hold bilateral talks, a move Pakistan would welcome if the talks lead to the resumption of full dialogue, which India suspended in late 2008, a Pakistani minister said on Thursday.
India is signalling that it is ready to hold bilateral talks, a move Pakistan would welcome if the talks lead to the resumption of full dialogue, which India suspended in late 2008, a Pakistani minister said on Thursday.
"There are now signals emanating from India that they are willing to talk bilaterally," Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi told Reuters. "We welcome this, if it leads to resumption of the composite dialogue."
India suspended official talks, known as the composite dialogue, on a range of issues including the disputed Kashmir region, after Pakistan-based militants attacked the Indian city of Mumbai in November 2008.
