What's in store for Mumbai Airport?

GVK Industries has unveiled its master plan for Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport today. CNBC-TV18 has more details on the plans for Mumbai Airport’s new look.

 


The master plan has an interim phase which is to be completed by 2008. After the refurbishment of Terminal 2B, there will be new airline lounges and retail outlets. There will be rapid exit taxiways to increase the runway capacity, along with multi level parking.

 

Phase one is said to be completed by 2010. There will be a new terminal at Sahar for domestic and international passengers. Also, there will be a link from the Western Express Highway to the Sahar terminal, along with new cargo facilities.
