A series of meetings have been held today in connection to the recent Satyam scam. CNBC-TV18's Siddharth Zarabi reports about the meetings and the outcomes.

A high-level meeting on Satyam scandal was held in Delhi where the Cabinet Secretary held a review meeting with the MCA officials. Sebi Chairman, CB Bhave, also met the Prime Minister on the Satyam issue.

CNBC-TV18 also learns that more government action is likely after the Registrar of Companies report comes on January 14.

On the other hand, PricewaterHouse, in a response to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India's (ICAI) queries regarding Satyam 's audit has said that Audit of Satyam accounts were conducted as per documents supplied by the company, reported CNBC-TV18, quoting sources.

Sources added the audit firm added that it upheld all standards and established norms. However, a more detailed PricewaterHouse reply to ICAI notice is also expected.
