NCP ready to face scrutiny of irrigation projects: NCP
NCP leader Ajit Pawar, who recently quit as Maharashtra deputy chief minister, said his party was prepared to face scrutiny of allegations with regard to the irrigation sector. "The party is  prepared to face any results that will come out after scrutiny in connection with irrigation and the allegations made against me. Electronic  media has made the matter murky," Pawar said here today.

He was here to attend a party workshop for Marathwada region. State NCP ministers R R Patil, Rajesh Tope, Fauzia Khan, Jayadatta Kshirsagar, and state NCP chief Madhukar Pichad were also present on this occasion. Patil said that stories of rift between Ajit and his uncle, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, were false.

Later, talking to media, Ajit said political situation at the national level was changing, and some of the UPA allies were openly criticising the union government.
