IIMs continue to churn out crorepatis! After IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore, now three IIM Calcutta students have bagged pre-placement job offers of Rs 1 crore per annum. But these students are yet to accept the jaw-dropping offers. CNBC-TV18 finds out why.
Like IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore, a few IIM Calcutta students too have breached the Rs 1 crore per annum salary offer. While two students in IIM Calcutta have been offered Rs 1.1 crore per annum salary package from an investment bank in New York, one student has been offered Rs 1.05 crore a year by an investment bank in London.
And like their counterparts in other IIMs, these students from IIM Calcutta too have not accepted these offers. But it is not for starting their own ventures, but with hope for even better salaries. All these three students have a two-year work experience.
The school has already recieved 120 lateral offers for students with prior work experience and 90 pre-placement offers. For the final placements, IIM Calcutta has lined up 100 companies out of which 20 are new recruiters.
The final placements of IIM Calcutta start from March 10. Final placements of IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore are also slotted for this week. And with demand for IIM graduates soaring, these students are hoping to make a killing.
