Dr Manmohan Singh bags CNN-IBN Indian of the Year Award

Ratan Tata bagged the award in the business category, while Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was the Indian of the Year in politics. Indira Nooyi was named the Global Indian of the Year, an accolade that comes just after her promotion as PepsiCo's new Chairman.
Golfer Jeev Milkha Singh won the award for sports. Arvind Kejriwal won it for public service, for his work in making the right to information a reality. Raj Kumar Hirani bagged the prize in the entertainment category, for rediscovering Gandhi in a whole new way through his film Lage Raho Munnabhai.
The jury's special award went to LN Mittal, who now heads the world's biggest steel company, Arcelor-Mittal. The biggest prize, the Indian of the Year, went to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
