Bihar asks Mauritius govt to set up medical college

Nitish Kumar government has offered the Mauritius government a proposal to set up a medical college hospital at Mairwa in Siwan district, according to state Health minister Ashwani Kumar Choubey.

Choubey told PTI today that he had handed over a former letter in this regard to Mauritius Art and Culture minister Mookhesswar Choonee during the three-day Global Bihar summit on changing Bihar that concluded here on Sunday. Choubey said that it has also been proposed to set up the hospital in the name of former India president Rajendra Prasad and Seewoo Sagur Ram Ghoolam, known as the father of the nation of Mauritius.

We have also written letter to Mauritius prime minister to give his consent for setting up the medical college hospital proposed at Mairwa in Siwan, Choubey said.
