Spot rubber turns weak
Spot rubber turned weak on Monday. RSS 4 moved down to Rs 140 and Rs 139.75 a kg respectively at Kottayam and Kochi from Rs 141 a kg on the previous weekend.

The trend was mixed as ISNR 20 and latex finished unchanged while the remaining grades including sheet rubber slipped marginally on slightly improved selling pressure.
"The present price can not be maintained as the tapping commences shortly in about 10 days time in all the plantations," said Mr. N Radhakrishnan, President Cochin Rubber Merchants Association.
