Cairn India may enter race for Gujarat Gas: Sources
Cairn India is planning to enter the race for picking up stake in Gujarat Gas, reports CNBC-TV18 quoting sources. It is learnt that Cairn is interested in buying British company BG Group’s 65.12% in Gujarat Gas.
Cairn India is planning to enter the race for picking up stake in Gujarat Gas , reports CNBC-TV18's Nayantara Rai quoting sources. It is learnt that Cairn is interested in buying British company BG Group's 65.12% in Gujarat Gas.
This development comes after ONGC announced taking over stakes in two offshore exploration blocks held by BG Group Plc as it is withdrawing from the projects.
Sources add that Cairn India is yet to decide if it should bid in the consortium and will take a decision only next week. Data room for Gujarat Gas is open till next week. McKinsey is advising Cairn India and Vedanta on the deal.
