Signs of slowdown across auto segments to continue in Jan

There are signs of slowdown across segments to continue in January as well, reports CNBC-TV18's Sonia Shenoy. As demand post festive season has failed to gain momentum, the auto sales figures in January are likely to be weak too.

Here are the estimates:

Maruti

Total sales down 8.4% at 1 lk vs 1.09 lk (YoY)
Total sales up 9% at 1 lk vs 92161 units (MoM)

Bajaj Auto

Total Sales up 10% at 3.44 lk vs 3.13 lk (YoY)
Total sales up 13% at 3.44 lk vs 3.05 lk (MoM)

Hero Moto

Total sales up 15% at 5.3 lk vs 4.66 lk (YoY)
Total sales lower at 5.3 lk vs 5.40 lk (MoM)

Tata Motors

Total sales up 6% at 80000 VS 75423 units (YoY)
Total sales down 3% at 80,000 vs 82279 units MoM

M&M

Total sales up 13.3% at 64800 vs 57217 units (YoY)
Tractor sales up 7% at 22000 vs 20499 units (YoY)
Total sales up 10% at 64800 vs 59150 units (MoM)
Tractor sales up 34% at 22000 vs 16389 units (MoM)

TVS Motor

Total sales up 6% at 1.74 lk vs 1.65 lk (YoY)
Total sales up 2.3% at 1.74lk vs 1.70 lk (MoM)
