Alembic is expecting a SEBI nod for listing their demerged pharma arm, reports CNBC-TV18's Ekta Batra.
The company is expecting approval from SEBI with regards to listing of its demerged pharma arm and the company has already filed all of the requisite documents in the past four to five weeks with SEBI. They are expecting an approval anytime soon with regards to the listing.
The company had demerged the entire company into two verticals. They demerged the core pharma business into Alembic Pharma and the demerged company which is currently trading is Alembic Limited.
Alembic Limited is involved in API and power generation and the resulting company is expected to be Alembic Pharma Limited which is basically a pharma company that deals with CRAMS and in-pharma products etc.
The share swap ratio when the deal had happened in terms of a demerger was at around 1:1.
