In the Supreme Court today, RIL Counsel Harish Salve said RIL will drop the 7 affidavits of Directors if RNRL changes its SLP, reports CNBC-TV18's Nayantara Rai.

Here is a verbatim transcript of Nayantara Rai's comments on CNBC-TV18. Also watch the accompanying video.

It was a heated exchange of words between the two counsels on that very point. Yesterday, Senior Counsel for RNRL, Ram Jethmalani said that he would want to cross-examine these seven directors and Harish Salve today is saying that he was willing to withdraw these affidavits only if RNRL changes its SLP.

In this SLP, RNRL has claimed that the RIL board had noted, recorded and approved the Ambani family MoU. Ram Jethmalani has said that he will not be dropping that clause in the SLP and in fact he is going to prove on the basis of the Bombay High Court records that the RIL board had actually approved of the MOU so those were the main highlights from the Supreme Court today.
