RComm to launch undersea cable system 'Hawk': Sources

Telecommunication major Reliance Communications is planning to launch an undersea cable system called Hawk. This system will connect the Mediterranean Region, reports CNBC-TV18's Kritika Saxena quoting sources.

Telecommunication major Reliance Communications is planning to launch an undersea cable system called Hawk. This system will connect the Mediterranean Region, reports CNBC-TV18's Kritika Saxena quoting sources.

On the back of this development the company may be projecting Rs 650-700 crore capex of cable system.

When contacted, company officials declined to comment.

As per media reports in 2008, global arm of the Anil Ambani-controlled company, Reliance Globalcom, was to land its proposed next-generation network submarine cable 'Hawk' at Cyprus-based PrimeTel's landing station.
