Earlier, PMO had written letters to all the concerned ministries like Finance, Commerce as well as Civil Aviation asking them for clarity on some of the concerns raised by Janta Party's Subramanian Swamy and BJP’s Jaswant Singh. These two people have written letters to the PM asking specifically as to how this deal has gone through and what will be the impact of this deal on Air India as well as on the entire aviation sector.
Subramanian Swamy also raised questions regarding the vastly enhanced bilateral traffic rise between India and UAE. All these questions are being taken seriously by the PMO and have therefore, raised concerns with other ministries to check whether these concerns are actually valid and then go ahead with it. Hence, the Cabinet Secretariat is meeting today and is in line with the series of action that PMO is taking.
