The best fit would be Sri Lanka to start with because it is our largest three-wheeler market overseas. It is also a market which is geographically proximate to us.

Here is what he said:

In our case we export more three-wheelers than we sell locally in case. So, we could start with those export markets where there are no hindrances for the introduction of this wonderful concept. In the meantime, of course, I am hopeful that by the time we are production ready which would be somewhere half way through this year, perhaps regulations will be in place in India as well.

The best fit would be Sri Lanka to start with because it is our largest three-wheeler market overseas. It is also a market which is geographically proximate to us. So, when we put in a new product we can be in touch with it closely in terms of its performance.

I do see it primarily as an intra-city vehicle because it will be limited in terms of its size, its weight, its peak power and top speed. Hence, it will lend itself with great difficulty to the task of plying between cities. Therefore I am of the view that while one cannot restrict a vehicle from plying between cities it should certainly be kept off the expressways for example as much as any two wheeler or three wheeler is.
