What we pick up from sources is that the top level management at Air India will see a major restructuring and change. In fact, this announcement could come in shortly is what we understand. Reiterating the same things that we have been talking about for some time on how there would be manpower redeployment, relooking at the fleet acquisition and also on partial disinvestment at Air India could go in for.

Apart from that what we pick up that there could be a new board that could come in and, in fact, seven independent directors could be roped in. We understand from sources that names like Sam Pitroda, S Ramadorai are being considered as independent directors on the board of Air India.

We also understand that the company is looking at roping in people of international reputation for the post Chief Operating Officer (COO).
