US mkts end off day's low post Microsoft, Exxon upgrade
The US markets ended off day’s low post Microsoft, Exxon upgrade while shrugged off disappointing outlooks from Target and Home Depot.
US Economic News
US industrial production for October increased 0.1%, weaker than expected increase of 0.4%.
US PPI increased 0.3% in October, lower than expected increase of 0.5%.
Commodities
CRB Commodity Index was up 0.2%.
Crude was up 0.6% at $79.58/bbl, gained for third day.
Gold made record highs at $1143.95/ounce.
Copper rose 1% at $6787/tonne, at 13-month highs.
Zinc was down 1.7%, Lead down 1.6% and Tin down 1.3%.
Currencies
Dollar Index gained 0.5% on Tuesday. It was trading up nearly 1% in early trade.
USD appreciated 47 bps versus Euro at 1.4884.
Yen depreciated 25 bps versus USD at 89.3.
