Shares of country's largest commercial vehicle maker Tata Motors shot up 5% on Friday as its subsidiary Jaguar & Land Rover's sales grew 19.7% MoM and 35% YoY to 30,094 units for May.
Shares of country's largest commercial vehicle maker Tata Motors shot up 5% on Friday as its subsidiary Jaguar & Land Rover's sales grew 19.7% MoM and 35% YoY to 30,094 units for May.
Total sales of the group increased 10% month-on-month and 12% year-on-year to 96,089 units. Sales numbers from Europe were strong in the month gone by. JLR's sales rose 36.2% YoY to 9782 units. Chairman Ratan Tata bought 4.25 lakh shares of Tata Motors on June 14. At 14:08 hours IST, the share was trading at Rs 238.40, up 5.02%. Market capitalisation of the company currently stands at Rs 76,042.22 crore. Even its trading volumes increased 24% to 22,54,438 shares as compared to its 5-day average of 18,18,270 shares.
