At 10:40 am, Jet Airways was quoting at Rs 273.25, down Rs 16.15, or 5.58%. It has touched an intraday high of Rs 287 and an intraday low of Rs 267.

The company has laid off more than 600 cabin crew and customer care executives to service its expansion plan and to simultaneously cut down on cost, quoting PTI, reports CNBC-TV18.

 

The alliance envisages code sharing on both domestic and international flights, interline/special prorate agreements to leverage the joint network, cross-utilisation of crew on similar aircraft and commonality of training as also of technical resources among others.

It was trading with volumes of 30,479 shares. Yesterday the share closed down at Rs 289.40.
