Jaiprakash Power Ventures, a subsidiary of Jaiprakash Associates, gained as much as 1.8% after the first unit of 250 MW of phase-I (2 x 250 MW = 500 MW) of Jaypee Bina Thermal Power Plant has commenced commercial operations with effect from August 31, 2012.
