Finance Ministry sources said that Coal India has to give higher dividend, reports CNBC-TV18.
The company has Rs 55,000 crore in cash & cash equivalents.
The share touched an intraday high of Rs 342.90 and an intraday low of Rs 331.15. At 14:49 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 342.30, up Rs 12.40, or 3.76%.
It was trading with volumes of 771,990 shares. In the previous trading session, the share closed down 1.35% or Rs 4.50 at Rs 329.90.
