Bosch temporarily shuts two plants; stock down

Shares of auto component manufacturer Bosch fell 1.7% on Thursday as the company temporarily shut its Jaipur and Bangalore plant today to prevent inventory pile up.

Shares of auto component manufacturer Bosch fell 1.7% on Thursday as the company temporarily shut its Jaipur and Bangalore plant today to prevent inventory pile up.


In a release sent to exchanges, company said, "To adjust production to meet the demand for products and to avoid unnecessary buildup of inventory, it is proposed to suspend the manufacturing operations at the company's Jaipur Plant from June 28, 2012 to June 30, 2012 and at the company's Bangalore Plant from June 29, 2012 to June 30, 2012."


At 12:16 hours IST, the share was trading at Rs 8,490, down 1.69%. Market capitalisation of the company currently stands at Rs 26,657.67 crore.
 
Its trading volumes increased 19.5% to 638 shares as compared to its 5-day average of 534 shares.
