Bharti Airtel hits 52-week low

Bharti Airtel touched a 52-week low of Rs 264. At 09:25 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 264.60, down Rs 9.80, or 3.57%.

Yesterday Bharti Airtel disappointed the street by reporting lower-than-expected numbers in the quarter ended June 2012. Consolidated net profit fell by 24.23% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 762.2 crore, while analysts on an average had expected it in the vicinity of Rs 1,075 crore.


However, net sales rose just 3.3% to Rs 19,350.1 crore from Rs 18,729.4 crore during the same period, which was almost in-line with forecast of Rs 19,530 crore.


The share touched a 52-week low of Rs 264. At 09:25 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 264.60, down Rs 9.80, or 3.57%.
 
It was trading with volumes of 386,269 shares. In the previous trading session, the share closed down 6.60% or Rs 19.40 at Rs 274.40.


The share touched its 52-week high Rs 417.00 and 52-week low Rs 272.60 on 02 Sep, 2011 and 08 Aug, 2012, respectively.
 
Currently, it is trading -36.55% below its 52-week high and -2.93% above its 52-week low.
 
Market capitalisation stands at Rs 100,482.65 crore.


The company's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 20.32 per share. (Jun, 2012). The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 13.04. The latest book value of the company is Rs 130.16 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company was 2.04. The dividend yield of the company was 0.38%.
