Zylog Systems Limited (BSE Code: 532883, NSE Code: ZYLOG.NS) inaugurated its state-of-the-art facility at the IT corridor in Sholinganallur, Chennai, by Mr. V.R. Lakshmi Narayanan, IPS, Director General of Police (Retd) and, Mr. R.S. Reddy, Executive Director, Union Bank of India. The new facility inaugurated, is spread over 1.1 acres of land and will be the Zylog’s biggest facility in India with 85,000 sq feet of built-in area. The company plans to recruit 4000 more employees in India over a period of next three years, which will substantially enhance its global strength.
This is the company’s second facility in Chennai, and complements an existing 30, 000 square feet facility in T. Nagar. The new facility hosts a total seating capacity of 850 employees and has seen an investment of more than Rs. 30 crore which excludes the cost of the land. The occasion also marked the launch of IDEA (Innovative Development of Enterprise Applications) Lab, a world class Software R&D Center at the new facility. In addition, Zylog Systems announced its new portfolio of solutions for the Consumer Electronics industry through a strategic partnership with NSA (National Service Alliance).
Speaking at the occasion Mr. Sudarshan Venkatraman, Chairman & CEO of Zylog Systems limited expressed his happiness and said, “I congratulate the entire Zylog India family on their robust success. It is a great milestone for us and we are positively looking at expanding our service capabilities and providing greater value to our stakeholders. Zylog Systems has grown over 50 % in the last 5 years and we expect to close this fiscal with a phenomenal Rs. 570 crore.
“Besides this, we are also pleased to announce that four major initiatives will be launched for allied Consumer Electronics enterprises in the coming weeks. These initiatives have been diligently validated against the current challenges by a broad spectrum of Consumer Electronics professionals to ensure the success and adoption by the industry.”

The IDEA Lab will provide value added R&D Outsourcing Services with 50 Distinguished Engineers (DEs) to create Competency Excellence in various cutting edge technologies such as Web 2.0/3.0, VoIP/Unified Communications, Wi-MAX/Fixed Mobile Convergence, SOA, RFID, etc. The IDEA Lab is set to release its first set of Business Solutions during the Microsoft Convergence 2008 in Orlando, Florida.
Zylog Systems & NSA will utilize their combined strengths in developing CE Accelerator, a unique platform that interconnects all the key constituents of the Consumer Electronics industry – Manufacturers, Retailers, Parts Suppliers, TPA’s, Reverse Logistic organizations, Recyclers, Call Centers, Service Providers and Trade Associations. The two entities will also develop the Service Accelerator, a robust state-of-the-art platform that connects all the independent services to operate using a single set of standards.
