Zydus Cadila eyes exports of animal healthcare products to Saarc countries. The company has recently entered into a share purchase agreement with Ambalal Sarabhai Enterprise. Animal Healthcare Company started off as a joint venture with Ambalal Sarabhai Enterprise in 2000.

Cadila has acquired the remaining 50% holding in the JV, Sarabhai Zydus Animal Health. Turnover of the JV stood at Rs13 crore in 2000. As on March 31, 2007, turnover touched Rs 88.87 crore.
This acquisition makes Sarabhai Zydus Animal Health, a 100% subsidiary of the Zydus Cadila Group. The company is targeting a turnover of Rs 100 crore in 2007-08.
