Yatra Online Pvt. Ltd ., one of the largest online travel companies in India has been nominated for the Annual World Travel Awards 2007, the most prestigious awards program in the global travel industry. Yatra.com has been nominated in the 'Asia's Leading Travel Agency' category. Awards will be decided through voting and recommendations made by the travel industry professionals across the globe.

Yatra was launched in August 2006 and within a short span of time it has seen a 40 fold increase in revenue with an employee base touching 400.   Currently, Yatra is posting average revenue of $9.5 million a month with a volume of 4,500 tickets and 250 rooms a day. The company projects a turnover of US $ 120 million by the end of calendar year 2007 and expects to break even by the end of 2008.

 

Recently, PC World Web awarded Yatra.com for being the Best Designed Website.  This award was won due to the site's great combination of features, design and technology, providing a great user experience, while efficiently accomplishing the job at hand.

 

The winners of Annual World Travel Awards 2007 will be declared at the Asia, Austral Asia & Indian Ocean Awards in Bangkok on September 06, 2007.
