Microsoft said the response from Yahoo! does not change the company's belief in the strategic and financial merits of the takeover proposal. Microsoft added that it reserves the right to "pursue all necessary steps" to ensure Yahoo! shareholders have a chance to benefit from the offer, that was initially valued at USD 44.6-billion.
