xplore is set to transform our lives to an advanced digital life by organizing a 24 day event- ‘The Digital Imaging Festival,’ It offers hands-on experience in a non-selling environment. xplore is coming up with this festival to help customers make a purchase easy by educating them on the USP’s of the digi cams and handy cams / camcorders enabled by hands-on experience and also to provide knowledge to the retailers.

Explaining the 24 day event concept, Mr. Kaushal Khandor, VP Corporate says, “We have successfully showcased several events which were based on the 24 day format like Dhoom – the speaker show, laptop Carnival, MP3 mela, etc., Riding on the confidence of the earlier product centric formats we have moved to solution centric approach that will give the customer a complete 360 degree view on Digital Imaging.”

The Digital Imaging Festival which starts from 5^th September, 2007 and will go on till 29th September 2007 will feature a complete demo of the cameras & handycams /camcorders to the customer by a technical expert. LIVE demo on how to click pictures indoors, outdoors and various other profiles, how to adjust the camera settings, the minimum distance to be maintained while clicking pictures and the entire solution of Digital imaging.

Interestingly all top brands namely – Canon, Sony, Intel, Brother, HP, Epson, LaCie, UMAX, LaserSoft, etc. are showcasing their products in the event.

 The highlight of the festival is the workshops which is going to be conducted by Rohinton Mehta - an ace photographer on the following topics –

Essentials of Photography - 14th September - from 5:00pm to 8:00pm

Selecting the right digital cameras – 21st September - from 5:00pm to 8:00pm

Digital imaging Solution and Photoshop Basics – 22nd September - from 5:00pm to 8:00pm

These interactive focused hands on experience are reasonably priced at Rs.500 per workshop.

The Digital Imaging Festival will help the consumer to explore the photography and videography technology and provide solution based demos.

The event will be open on all working days from 1 pm to 7 pm and entry is FREE.
