CNBC-TV18 reports that Capgemini shares rose today after Hindustan Times reported that Wipro , was expected to bid for the French computer consultancy firm. Wipro is expected to bid for Capgemini by the end of January, the report said, citing unnamed sources.

Wipro's bid for Europe's largest computer consultancy could be close to 48 euros per share. Citigroup and HSBC have been in discussions to finalise a plan before the year-end holidays, the paper said, citing investment banking sources.
