Will OMCs help RIL supply ATF?

While Reliance Industries is keen to help airlines out by supplying aviation turbine fuel or ATF, it is examining the infrastructure requirements for doing so, reports CNBC-TV18 quoting sources.

Sources add RIL is also waiting to see if IOC , HPCL and BPCL agree to pitch in by sharing their pipelines and other infrastructure at ports and airports. However RIL can ship ATF from the Jamnagar Refinery to Mumbai and then truck it from there.

RIL has hundreds of idle trucks that were originally planned for the company's petrol pumps, which are now closed. Nearly 50% of the ATF consumption is between Delhi and Mumbai, so this is one option that can always be executed.
