Reliance industries expects to get government approval for its Navi Mumbai SEZ by the end of November. Reliance says it has already acquired 5000 acres for the project, and is confident of acquiring the total 12,500 acres soon
Anand Jain, the chairman of the Navi Mumbai SEZ outlined the extensive rehabilitation plan the company was offering for the land.
" We pay Rs 10 lakh per acre for the land, We give them 12.5% of developed plots, so they can be partners of our development. In case they don’t want the 12.5%, we will give them Rs 5 lakh per acres. 1 employment per family, or Rs 3 lakh per acre extra. Landless laborers will have 3 yrs salary and Rs 2 crores/acre to every villager, not dislocating any villager" he said. Related News Set email alert for |
