J C Penny, US one of the largest retailers in the World has awarded Welspun India Ltd. with the Supplier of the Year Award for 'Quality' in home products at a summit held in Plano, Texas, US. This award reinstates Welspun's credibility to make products with the highest quality. This is in continuation of Best Vendor award received by Welspun from JC Penney in 2003.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajesh Mandawewala, Joint Managing Director, Welspun said, "It is indeed a remarkable achievement and a proud moment for all of us at Welspun. This award gives a boost to the quality control mechanisms and the various processes we undertake in our facilities.  We make sure that our consumers get nothing but the best possible product available," he adds.

 

It may be noted that Welspun has also won the 'Sustainability' award in 2007 from world's largest retailer Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
