Vijay Shanthi Builders in an effort to encourage the best and creative architects is planning to give a "National Award for Architectural Creative Excellence" to the innovative, imaginative architects in the country in the name of its founder Late Mr. V.C. Jain annually. The main aim of this award is to encourage the young creative architects of the country and bring their work into limelight. Vijay Shanthi Builders firmly believes that the true potential of the Indian Architects is yet to be realized and portrayed to the world. Vijay Shanthi Builders has decided to confer this award as a part of their corporate social responsibility in nurturing the young talents in the architecture industry where they are the one of the leading players in the country.

As a prelude to the awards, Vijay Shanthi Builders is participating in the National Awards for Excellence in Architectural Thesis - 2007 by being one of the main sponsors of the event. The 2^nd Annual "National Thesis Awards Program" for the academic year 2006-2007 is being organized by National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA)c Unit of Council of

MEASI Academy of Architecture in New College in Chennai between August 28 to August 30, 2007. The Awards Program showcases the best Thesis projects by the architecture students, and brings them in front of the best & most renowned Architects of India, and also the general public. The best projects are awarded with grand prizes comprising of cash & books. This competition will take place in five zones across the country. COA identified MEASI Academy of Architecture to conduct the awards programme for the south zone this year. Total of two entries would be selected from the south zone for the Grand finale to be held in Kolkata in the first week of October 2007.

Announcing the participation of Vijay Shanthi Builders in the National Thesis Awards Program, Mr. Suresh Jain, Managing Director, Vijay Shanthi Builders, remarked "We have always wanted to encourage the young and creative minds in the architecture industry. We are planning to give an award for the best young creative architecture in the country annually. We will identify the best creative architect in the country with the help of a popular print media and the entries to be judged by some of the leading architects of the Country. Taking into consideration the creativity and other important parameters, the board will identify the architects worth our National Award for Architectural Creative Excellence. This gesture is to acknowledge the recognition which Vijay Shanthi Builders has gained in the industry. This is probably our way of recognising the architectural community who have been striving hard without much recognition, except from a few quarters. "
