The city-based Vimal Oil & Foods Limited has turned out a stellar performance in the third quarter of the current fiscal ended December 07.The net sales income from operations and net profit after tax has zoomed by 47% and 64.32 % respectively.
According to un-audited results for the quarter released by the company here on Thursday, the net sales income totaled Rs 191.07 crores compared to Rs 129.96 crores during October-December 2006. The net profit for the period under review is estimated at Rs 2.81 crores and Rs 1.71 crores respectively.
For the period April-December 07, the company's net sales income has jumped to Rs 421.45 crores compared to Rs 345.90 in the same period in 2006 reflecting an increase of 21.84%. The net profit for the first nine months of the current fiscal is estimated at Rs 5.92 crores compared to Rs 4.19 crores in the same period in 2006.
The basic and diluted earnings per share for the period (not to be annualized) are Rs 6.18 for October-December07 compared to Rs 3.76 in the same period last year.
