Usha International Limited, a Siddharth Shriram Group company, has recorded a 94% increase in net profits for the six months ending 30th Sept., 2006 over the same period last year. As per the company's unaudited financial results, net profits increased to Rs.4.60 crores this year from Rs.2.37 crores for the previous year. Gross profit has been recorded at Rs.8.53 crores this year compared to Rs.5.28 crores last year, an increase of 62%. Total turnover for six months has gone up to Rs.312.5 crores from Rs.255.5 crores over the same period last year, an increase of 22%.
The diverse products marketed by the company include fans, sewing machines, home appliances, engines and pumpsets, electrical motors & pumps, water coolers, air conditioners, generators, inverters and auto components.
