Unaware of any possible Vodafone stake sale: Bharti Airtel

Sunil Mittal chairman of Indian’s top mobile service provider Bharti Airtel on Wednesday indicated that he was not aware of any plan that the British cellular major Vodafone may have to sell its balance 4.4% stake in the company, even as he said that Zain Africa will be rebranded by October.

Sunil Mittal chairman of Indian's top mobile service provider Bharti Airtel  on Wednesday indicated that he was not aware of any plan that the British cellular major Vodafone may have to sell its balance 4.4% stake in the company, even as he said that Zain Africa will be rebranded by October.

"I have not heard anything," Bharti Chairman Sunil Mittal said when asked by reporters whether Vodafone was selling its stake in the firm.

The Business Standard newspaper in late July reported that Vodafone might sell its holding in Bharti.
