Apache, also TVS' most premium offering in motorcycles, has seen the highest price increase in the company’s portfolio. Apache models come in 160-200 cc range. Other models are also priced higher by Rs 200 to Rs 500.

The Wego brand of scooters saw the lowest hike of Rs 200. Price of the XL 100 moped has been hiked by Rs 250.

The Chennai-headquartered company has kept the prices of its Jupiter brand of scooters unchanged. Jupiter is TVS' highest selling brand amongst all two-wheelers. The company sells three models in the Jupiter range.

TVS clocked sales of 184,901 units last month, the government's demonetisation drive being behind the 8.5 percent fall from December 2015’s sales of 202,021 units.

TVS’ price hikes follow market leader Hero MotoCorp Ltd’s increase of Rs 250-1500 across its portfolio.

While the two-wheeler makers have raised their product prices, four-wheeler manufacturers are still in the  process of announcing their price revisions.
