Triveni Engg says to crush 4 MT sugar in current crop year

Triveni Engineering expects to crush 4 million tonnes of sugarcane in the current crop year, higher than last year's level of 3.5 million tonnes, its Chairman said on Monday.

Triveni Engineering expects to crush 4 million tonnes of sugarcane in the current crop year, higher than last year's level of 3.5 million tonnes, its Chairman said on Monday.

India was likely to import 1-2 million tonnes of sugar between April and September 2010, Dhruv Sawhney said.

"I don't expect too much raws to comme immediately. There is no shortage of sugar for 6-8 months," he told reporters on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum.
