MakeMyTrip , India's leading online travel portal has entered into a strategic partnership with IRCTC to sell customized Rail-holiday packages. This move extends the choice of holidays that the web-site offers to its customers, providing travellers the options of best-deal railway packages along with air-tickets, hotel bookings and holidays - all at a single platform.

Elaborating on this development, Mr. Sachin Bhatia, CMO & Co-Founder (MakeMyTrip) said, " We endeavor to be the one-stop shop for all travel needs, and are constantly looking to broad base our existing range of comprehensive travel solutions.  The tie-up with IRCTC will empower travellers by providing them greater choice and flexibility when planning holidays. It is also of long-term strategic significance for us. Going forward, we intend to leverage existing synergies to our mutual advantage."

At present, the service is available through the toll-free numbers 1-800-11 8747 (from BSNL & MTNL phones) and 1-800-102 8747 (for Airtel subscribers). Travellers booking through MakeMyTrip have the advantage of accessing a variety of payment options offered by the portal. These include online payment by credit cad, debit card/ online banking, cash-on-delivery and mobile banking.
