India’s leading animation school, Toonz Animation Academy, today announced the appointment Mr. S. Ramaprasad as Executive Director. The Academy is a unit of Asian School for Film and Media Studies and is backed by Asia’s premier animation studio, Toonz Animation India. Toonz Animation as part of its expansion plans is launching its latest Animation academy in Andheri, Mumbai, next month. This launch shall be followed by setting up Animation academies in Nagpur, Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai. Mr. Ramaprasad will spearhead the operations in all these centres.

Mr. Ramaprasad has 20 years of experience as a senior management professional in several blue chip companies in India. Most recently, Mr. Ramaprasad was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Maini Info Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Previously, he served as General Manager of APTECH, India’s leading IT education and training company, overseeing its operations in Karnataka and Goa. He has a strong track record in the domains of General Management, Sales, Marketing, and Administration in IT Education.

Mr. Ramaprasad has extensive experience in senior management positions, including stints at Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation, Panasonic, Time Life Inc., Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Mr. Ramaprasad is a graduate in electronics, and an MBA in marketing from Bangalore University.
