Timex Watches Ltd. today launched the new Timex Expedition E-Tide-Temp-Compass from its internationally famous E-Instruments collection of high technology-high style watches.
A unique combination of style and technology, the Timex Expedition E-Tide-Temp-Compass series is the latest in the E-Instruments family of high-performance timepieces. At the press of a button, the new E-Tide-Temp-Compass watch transforms from an elegant timepiece to a marvel of advanced technology. Using proprietary technology, inside the stainless steel case lies miniaturized sensors that, when activated, employ a dedicated 4th hand to indicate the temperature, tide or point north. With the push of a button, this watch transforms information usually displayed digitally into the fashion looks of an analogue watch.
The dedicated fourth hand of the E-Tide-Temp-Compass watch electronically tracks Temperature in the Temp mode and Tidal position in the Tide mode. Temperature can be measured in both degree Celsius and degree Fahrenheit. The Tide Track shows hours to next tide (high or low). And the accurate electronic compass also uses the fourth hand as a compass needle to point north. All styles have the 2-way directional ring, the INDIGLO night-light and are water resistant to 100m.
Mr. Salil Sadanandan, Sr. Vice-President Marketing and Sales, Timex Watches Ltd. commented, "Timex Expedition E-Instrument watches enhance the outdoor experience with a blend of timeless design and advanced features. By linking an internal sensor to a dedicated fourth hand, these unique analog watches deliver on-demand information and classic styling that's perfect for today's active lifestyle. With the E-Instrument series, brand Timex once again leads the growing trend for watches that combine fashion with innovative technology."
The E-Tide-Temp-Compass series is offered in two initial styles and are available at a price of Rs 9995/- across select Time Factory showrooms and multi-brand outlets in major metros across the country.
