Delhi International Airport Private Limited (DIAL) has awarded the license for the advertisement locations at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi to Times Innovative Media Private Limited (TIMPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Entertainment Network (India) Limited (ENIL) which operates FM radio broadcasting stations under the brand Radio Mirchi. According to analysts, Delhi airport is expected to emerge as India’s largest airport platform with passenger traffic of approximately 22 million by FY 2009.
The license involves designing, setting up, development and maintenance of the advertisement locations for a period of three (3) years, and covers approximately 150 display sites inside the terminal buildings, approach roads, hoardings around terminals & advertising options inside the terminal buildings & aerobridges.
“We are delighted to win the license for the advertising locations at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. This is the first advertising rights license to be awarded after the privatization of the Delhi airport and was keenly bid by several out-of-home media players including global players” said Mr. A P Parigi, Director, TIMPL. “Delhi is a very important market for us and winning this contract is a definitive step in the direction that we are heading,” he added.
TIMPL operates its Out of Home Media business under the brand name “Times OOH Media”. Times OOH media has recently put two LED screens at Mumbai airport. The company has been
among the leaders in introducing innovative technologies such as LEDs in outdoor advertising.
