Thomas Cook will acquire Travel Corporation India or TCI for over Rs 182 crore, in an all-cash deal. Thomas Cook, which earns a significant percentage of its revenue from the forex business, says TCI will give it a firm foothold in the domestic market, reports CNBC-TV18.

 

Udayan Bose, Chairman, Thomas Cook India says, "I was looking around for a company that is strong in inbound travel and this was extremely strong; it is one of the strongest. It is the second strongest inbound company in the country."
