Telenor CEO says need competitive pricing in India

RELATED NEWS

Norwegian telecom firm Telenor, which aims to launch India operations by December, sees good potential in the country as subscriber additions remain strong, its CEO said, but will have to be competitive in pricing.

"We are convinced that mobile penetration will grow significantly over the next two to three years," Jon Fredrik Baksaas told reporters.

Four new firms, including Telenor, are set to start operations in the world's fastest-growing wireless market that already has 11 operators and call charges are falling sharply amid intense competition.
