Telecom Min to re-auction BWA spectrum vacated by BSNL

The government accepted BSNL 's proposal to return broadband bandwidth. The telecom ministry will re-auction spectrum vacated by BSNL.

The telecom secretary today announced that the government will re-auction broadband spectrum vacated by PSU major BSNL. BSNL's proposal has got an in-principal approval, but details are still being worked out.

BSNL had also proposed to surrender excess BWA spectrum in several circles.

The Telecom Secretary R Chandrashekhar indicated that the proposition has been found to merit consideration. He further said that if the spectrums come back to them, it will be re-auctioned.
