Tech Mahindra Limited today unveiled its social vision by launching the Tech Mahindra Foundation. The foundation will address the educational needs of the underprivileged in our society, especially children, as well as espouse the cause of women’s empowerment in education with a view to realizing each group’s full potential. The launch of the Tech Mahindra Foundation was done by the managements of Mahindra & Mahindra, Tech Mahindra and Ben Verwaayen CEO, BT group.
Tech Mahindra Ltd launches it foundation with a current corpus of Rs.250 million. The Company and employees both have contributed towards this corpus. Tech Mahindra is committed to contribute up-to 2% of it post tax profit every year towards the cause of this foundation. The Foundation will be able to spend Rs 60 million in the current year which is expected to increase over the years in line with increase in the corpus.
The Foundation wishes to realize its vision by creating and supporting programs that will bring about sustainable changes, aimed at the upliftment of the less privileged and socially disadvantaged, especially children and women. Tech Mahindra Foundation came into existence as an expression of understanding of these issues of social concern. By focusing on education of the under privileged Tech Mahindra foundation believes that it can develop world class human resources.
The Foundation announced its tie-ups with Delhi and Maharashtra based Non Governmental Organization (NGO) and partners like Akanksha, Anawa, Godhuli and Voice who will promote programs in education which enables the children to become self-reliant and responsible contributing citizens. In the future, the foundation is looking to tie up with organizations that share its common values and have commitment, competence and integrity towards the cause.

One of the key elements of BT’s programme is sustainable development and I am glad to see the same passion between Tech Mahindra’s and BT’s community programmes.”
