Sahara Group Chairman Subrato Roy says his company is ready for a settlement with Jet Airways on the on-going tax dispute. The Sahara Group dragged Jet to court in March 2009 as jet defaulted on the instalment due as payment for acquisition of Sahara Airlines.

As a result of the default, Sahara says Jet is liable to pay Rs 2,000 crore to it and not the re-negotiated amount of Rs 1,450 crore. The court has asked both parties to resolve it outside court.

"We are open for all kinds of settlements, but it's not happening," Roy stated.
