CNBC-TV18 has learnt that Tata Nano will come in a 'micro hybrid' version also. It will also use technology also known as 'stop-start' tech. Bosch may supply the technology. It is already supplying fuel and braking systems for Nano.

The technology will add Rs 4,000-6,000 to Nano's cost. Bosch is also looking to offer technology as aftermarket fitting. Stop-start technology cuts fuel bills by around 5%.
