Tata Motors ' group global wholesales in September slipped 4% year-on-year to 1,03,656 units amid declining demand for passenger vehicles. The company's commercial vehicle sales last month, which includes Tata and units Tata Daewoo and Tata Hispano Carrocera, rose 3% from a year ago to 54,761 units, it said on Monday. However, its passenger vehicle sales were down 11% at 48,895 units. Sales of Tata passenger vehicles fell 17% to 22,434 units in September. Sales at Tata Motors' luxury Jaguar Land Rover unit were also down 4% at 26,461 units last month, which included the model year change over timings. Land Rover shipped 23,653 units in September, while Jaguar sales were at 2,808 units. So far this year, Tata Motors' group global wholesales are up 8% at 5,79,037 units. Tata Motors' shares ended down 0.7% at Rs 269.40 on NSE on Monday.
