Tata Indicom launches US roaming on its CDMA network

Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Limited (TTML) announced availability of International Roaming across the United States of America from October 2006. The company has partnered with leading telecom service provider Verizon for extended the service in USA

 

Announcing the launch, Mr. Ajay Mathur -Vice President Marketing TTML said "There has been a substantial increase in volume of people traveling between Mumbai and the USA, hence with the launch of USA roaming the Tata Indicom retail as well as enterprise customers can experience seamless convenience while roaming at attractive tariff plans of Rs. 18.62 per minute for outgoing local calls and Rs. 37.02 per minute for incoming calls. " 

 

The international roaming service would be available for Tata Indicom's existing SIM based as well as non-SIM based handsets. Customers with SIM based handsets would need to take a one world one number card (OWON card) and Non SIM based customer can confirm their software (PRL version) prior to roaming in the US.

 

Also with the help of Tata Indicom Motorola world phone, dual mode handset, customer can choose either CDMA or GSM network while roaming in US on Verizon network.
